Accessibility
Our commitment to a website that everyone can use, and how to let us know about a difficulty.
This translation is provided for information only. In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
We want everyone to be able to discover Maison Les Chandelles and plan their stay, however they browse: with a keyboard, with a screen reader (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack), with screen magnification or with reduced motion.
What we have put in place
- The website is built in line with the Référentiel général d’amélioration de l’accessibilité (RGAA 4.1, the French accessibility standard) and the international WCAG 2.2 guidelines, level AA.
- The whole website can be navigated by keyboard, with a “Skip to content” link at the top of each page and a clearly visible focus indicator.
- Pages are structured with hierarchical headings and identified areas (header, main menu, content, footer).
- Photos that carry information have a description; decorative images are ignored by screen readers.
- Forms have clear labels, required fields are indicated and every submission is confirmed by an acknowledgement.
- Links that open a new tab are announced.
- The home page slideshow and the scrolling banner can be paused; they are paused automatically if your device asks for reduced motion.
- Colours meet minimum contrast requirements and the website remains readable when zoomed to 200%.
Compliance status
No compliance audit has yet been carried out by an independent body. In the absence of an audit, the website is declared non-compliant within the meaning of the RGAA, even though its criteria have been taken into account from the design stage.
Content provided by third-party services
Some services open from the website but are not under our control: the elloha booking and gift voucher engine, the immersive 3D tour (Matterport, created by AERIAL studio) and the welcome booklet in the La Clé app. The 3D tour cannot be navigated by keyboard or with a screen reader: the photos and descriptions of each accommodation give the same information.

If you are unable to access any content or service, write to us at maisonleschandelles@gmail.com or call us on 06 83 91 45 66. We will provide the information by another means and correct the website if necessary.
